All of the above saxophones were made by The Martin Company, but all three possess different names, Perfactone? The names other than the Martin are commonly referred to as Stencil or ghost names. The one thing that all three horns have in common is the Martin beveled style tone hole. This soft soldered beveled tone hole is usually a dead giveaway for a Martin and is generally considered its trademark. Although the sound of a Stenciled horn may possess some of the same qualities as the companies top of the line horn they are generally considered to be the wholesale version of the real thing.
